Oct 15 Presidential Debate
I was not able to see the presidential debate, as I had a class. However, from what I read, it was no contest (although, don’t they all say that lately?)
It concerns me, however, that people are SO sure of Obama. From what I read in Chris Cillizza’s Washington Post story, Obama wasn’t nervous or flustered because “he didn’t have to be.”
I personally want my presidential candidate to a little edge, a little unsure footing. Keeps him on his toes.
And abortion as a major issue of this campaign? As Cillizza said, Really? Isn’t there some other little thing that’s been happening for months now that probably takes a little more precedence than this age old battle that will probably never be 100% settled?
I did like Cillizza’s comment about the off camera smile as a means of rebuttal. I hate it when people do this; it’s like when I would argue my point to my little brother and he would roll his eyes and smile. RAAAR. Not a mature form of debate. Drives me nuts. It’s like a nonverbal whatEVerrrr. So whatever.
