Anti-social web
I don’t have much of a relationship with the social web. I get on Facebook often enough to see that the system is completely different from the last time I used it. My Myspace still has the default background from when I set it up three years ago. I don’t think I’ve changed my profile on either since I created them.
I don’t see how facebook junkies even have TIME to spend on the social web. Between school and homework and keeping up with the news and new books and old books and magazines and new movies and old movies and real friends and family, I don’t have time to check my email let alone comment and post and blog. I honestly don’t know how people spend an hour everyday online. I would love to be able to do it myself, but when it comes to a choice between reading a couple of chapters in a new book, watching a Netflix that has been sitting around all week, or stalking people on facebook for an hour, I always ALWAYS choose books or movies.
I don’t think people who do all of it ever have to sleep. Lucky ducks.
